We will have more details about this new Sony Pikachu smartphone when it is made official at Mobile World Congress later this month. One interesting thing to note is that the smartphone comes pre-installed with Android Nougat out of the box.

A Sony device that matches the upgraded specs of a year ago Xperia XA has made a stop at benchmarking website GFXBench. The listing also tells us that the device is rocking a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6757 processor paired with 3GB of RAM.

While the company's Xperia Z5 Premium's successor is expected to miss the party, Sony has a mysterious new smartphone that may be debuting in a couple of days from now. The smartphone from will perhaps have a display supporting a resolution of 1280 x 720. According to the GFXBench result spotted, the Sony device tagged with "Pikachu" moniker, sports a 5 inch HD display (1280X720 pixels) with five-finger gesture support. It is believed that the Pikachu may be the Sony G3112, which has leaked in the past.

The device has 32GB of internal storage space, out of which 22GB is usable. As usual with Sony devices, the camera at the back is huge with a 21MP shooter, although it only manages to shoot 4K photos while the video quality is capped at Full HD. The camera is also going to be quite formidable as the image has suggested. It seems, in fact, that even this device will be unveiled during the event the MWC 2017, scheduled in a week in Barcelona.
