Demonstrators, waving flags and carrying placards denouncing Trump's policies, marched in the streets as Trump was welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday.

Macron also added that he respected the desire of leaders and countries to preserve jobs and added that both he and Trump have agreed to continue the discussion on Paris Accord.

The 45th President has had his share of strange exchanges with the 39-year-old leader of France.

The video went viral on the social media in no time with many users denouncing the comments by the US president as sexist.

Macron taps Trump's shoulder and the pair move in closer, bringing their chests close to each other.

"Our two nations are forever joined together by the spirit of revolution and the fight for freedom", he said. "She's in such good physical shape", Trump told him.

On this week's episode of Donald Trump objectifying women, press cameras captured the U.S. president commenting on French first lady Brigitte Macron's figure.

"And, obviously, [Syrian President] Bashar Assad's representative will be involved in these negotiations, which will allow us to create a 'roadmap' for the post-war future [of Syria]", the source quoted the French president as saying. Mr Trump saluted the detachment as it passed.

France's national day marks one of the most symbolic moments of the French Revolution. "Beautiful." Brigitte, who is facing away from the camera, takes a step back and touches Melania on the arm, as if in solidarity.

This year's Bastille Day has an additional poignancy as the first anniversary of one of the deadliest Islamist militant attacks of the past few years.
