Monaco will try to pull down the shutters on their summer sale after Tiemoue Bakayoko completes his move to Chelsea, which is bad news for Arsenal and their pursuit of Thomas Lemar.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes Monaco teenager Kylian Mbappe is more likely to stay in Ligue 1 than join the Gunners or Real Madrid.

He could also make for a strong candidate to replace Alexis Sanchez, albeit he is not yet at the same level as the Chilean, particularly in terms of goalscoring. However, it is clear that that offer would have to be an improvement of north of €10m to have any impact at all.

It's added by the Sun that a long-term deal worth around £90,000-a-week has already been agreed between the player and Arsenal, and so it seems as though all signs are pointing towards a move eventually happening this summer.

Lemar, 21, has been offered a new contract and encouraged to resist Arsenal's overtures and stay in French football for at least one more year.

"No, a lot that comes out [about] Alexis doesn't look completely right!"

Vasilyev is convinced the winger will benefit by developing further in under Leonardo Jardim and the club will not stand in his way to achieve his ambitions later in his career.

Cech may have been dropped for the FA Cup final, but the experienced shot-stopper is unlikely to lose his Premier League place anytime soon.

Which is making life difficult for Lemar, who will simply demand he be sold to Arsenal.

A host of elite clubs have been keeping tabs on Mbappe's situation following his breakthrough season in Ligue 1. Apart from that we will play in a different climate.

His poor discipline cost Arsenal in a couple of vital games, but he remains an important, influential player.
